Add your trips to the Schengen Area (entry and exit dates). Entry and exit days count as days of stay.
Everything is calculated in your browser: we don't store your dates.
How to use it
- Add each trip to the Schengen Area in the last 6 months: entry and exit dates.
- Pick the date you want to check (today by default).
- If you're planning another trip, enter the arrival date and we'll tell you how long you can stay.
Rules it applies
- Maximum 90 days in any 180-day period.
- Entry and exit days count as full days.
- Only Schengen countries count. The UK and Ireland don't, and Cyprus is counted separately.
This is an estimate. The official figure is the EES one, which you can also check in the EU's official tool or ask about at the border.
Schengen calculator example
Say you spent 1–30 March in Spain (30 days) and 10–29 May in Italy (20 days). On 1 July you want to go to France. The calculator looks back 180 days from 1 July, finds 50 days used, and tells you that you have 40 days left. From early September, the March days start dropping out of the window and your balance grows again.
Our calculator vs the official EU tool
Our Schengen calculator is ideal for planning: you can add future trips and test dates. The official count is the one in the EES; the EU offers a tool to check how long you can stay based on your real entries and exits.
Frequently asked questions
Do you store my dates?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
Does it work for Schengen visa holders?
Yes for the 90/180 limit, but also check your visa's dates and number of entries.
Does the 180-day period reset?
No. It is a rolling window: every day the calculator looks back 180 days from that date. Old days drop off one by one rather than all at once.
Do days in the UK or Ireland count?
No. Only days in Schengen countries count. Cyprus is counted separately.
