How to read this list

The official ETIAS list includes 59 countries and territories whose citizens can visit Europe visa-free today, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. If your nationality is on it, you will need ETIAS once it launches. If it isn't, and you're not an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen, you probably need a Schengen visa. Some special passports (for example British National Overseas) have their own rules: use the checker or the official list.
